Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a General Maintenance Tech III to perform planned and corrective cross-functional maintenance across carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing for facilities on the Columbia campus.

Responsibilities include independent work, adherence to safety standards, and delivering reliable service to campus operations. A strong trades background and code knowledge are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with 5 years in a trades occupation including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing, with knowledge of national and local codes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guided planned and corrective maintenance and repair across multiple trades (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing) for designated facilities on the Columbia campus.
