Under the supervision of the Area Supervisor, the Area Maintenance Tech is a professional that provides skilled, planned, and corrective cross-functional maintenance and repair services during emergency situations and scheduled planned maintenance including carpentry, locksmith, HVAC , electrical, plumbing and painting for residence halls at USCA . They will be assigned work tasks that will include trouble shooting and performing advanced maintenance, ensuring efficient operations, and performing preventative/reactive maintenance activities. They will be assigned, compete, and fill out work orders, communicating any needed follow up to their supervisor. This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies. This position also works in an on-call rotation for afterhours emergency response.
Minimum requirements: Job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials: A valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Knowledge of general maintenance. Trade School or Apprenticeship helpful.
