Job summary

S&W Foods is seeking a General Maintenance Facilities Associate to help maintain and improve the facility, manage equipment upkeep, and support sanitation and pest-control processes. This daytime role includes on-call responsibilities and a focus on safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and record-keeping, assist in renovations and installations, and report issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Routine maintenance tasks including repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Regular inspections to identify and fix potential problems.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assisting in renovations, new construction, alterations and equipment installations.
• Promptly reporting equipment and system issues to supervisor.
• Keeping tools and supplies organized and available.

About the Job!

This position exists to assist in maintaining an adequate facility, material handling, refrigeration, mechanical systems and AIB compliant sanitation/pest control processes. This is a daytime position with some on-call responsibilities.

The General Maintenance Facilities Associate plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance, appearance, and functionality of facilities.

What You’ll Own as a General Maintenance Facilities Associate at S&W Foods

• Performing routine maintenance tasks: This may involve repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Conducting inspections: Regular inspections are necessary to identify and fix potential problems before they escalation.
• Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and service cycles is essential.
• Participating in renovations and installations: Assisting in major renovations, new construction, alterations, and equipment installations.
• Reporting issues: Promptly reporting equipment and system operation problems to the supervisor and contacting outside service assistance for major equipment failures.
• Maintaining tools and supplies: Ensuring the necessary tools and supplies are available for performing duties.
• Working in various conditions: Performing work in small areas, in various climates.
• Performing other duties, as assigned.
• Safety Conscious: Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced, Busy Environment with Safety as the number one priority.

Bonus Skills!

• Knowledge of Distribution Center Operations.
• Knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
