Job summary

Greenwood Village South, a Life Plan Community in Greenwood, IN, seeks a General Maintenance worker to support a full continuum of care. The role offers an 7am-3:30pm shift Monday-Friday with starting pay at $18/hour plus experience pay.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience is required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties such as fixing wall covers, floor coverings, and some furniture and fixtures.
• Performs light plumbing work, minor electrical repair, and appliance repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects as directed by supervisor.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
• Assists during winter with snow removal efforts.
• Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
• Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• When qualified, assists with HVAC and related systems and attends training as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Performs general maintenance duties, such as:fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
2. Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
4. Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
5. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
6. Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
7. Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
8. Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
9. When qualified, assists the Director of Plant and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
10. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
