Job summary

Greenwood Village South in Greenwood, Indiana, is hiring a General Maintenance worker to perform various maintenance tasks across a multi‑level community. The role supports independent and assisted living residents, with a shift 7am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, technical schooling preferred, and at least one year of maintenance experience. English communication and basic arithmetic are expected; benefits include health insurance, PTO, and retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties such as repairing wall/floor coverings, some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing, minor electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing as directed by supervisor.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
• Follows priority work orders as set by supervisor.
• Assists with snow removal during winter.
• Does routine vehicle maintenance when assigned.
• Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition.
• Assists in heating/AC systems, domestic water, refrigeration, pumps, motors, and electrical systems when qualified.
• Attends in-service trainings and education sessions.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Performs general maintenance duties, such as:fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
2. Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
4. Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
5. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
6. Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
7. Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
8. Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
9. When qualified, assists the Director of Plant and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
10. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
