Job summary

Nugent Sand Company, Inc is seeking a General Maintenance team member for 2nd and 3rd shifts to keep the sand plant and equipment running safely and reliably. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance with the Plant Foreman, supporting machines that wash, dry, screen, and move sand.

This hands-on role involves outdoor work and may require overtime to complete repairs outside production hours.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in an industrial plant or production environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical systems.
• Comfort with outdoor work and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues; replace worn parts and perform welding or fabrication as needed.
• Coordinate with Plant Foreman to keep washing, drying, screening, and material handling equipment running safely.

The company dredges sand from their lake and then washes, dries, screens, and blends it into specialized products used by customers throughout the country. What You'll Do:

We are looking for a General Maintenance team member to keep our sand plant and equipment running safely and reliably. You'll inspect equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance to help avoid breakdowns. Working with the Plant Foreman, you'll maintain the machines that wash, dry, screen, and move sand, replace worn parts, and handle welding and basic fabrication. This hands-on role includes outdoor work and may require different hours or overtime to complete repairs outside production hours. Your training will be conducted on 1st shift .
