Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Generalist to perform preventative maintenance and general repairs across warehouse and store facilities. You will support asset care, follow safety standards, and contribute to reliable operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining racks, dock gear, lighting, and building systems, with hands-on tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings. Applicants should be able to lift and work in varying conditions.

• Proven safety knowledge of repair and machine liability.
• General maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Facility Maintenance Generalist performs preventative maintenance and general repairs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform the physical requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.

Working Conditions

The duties of this position are performed in a combination of warehouse and outdoor settings. There is exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemical or solvents, and electrical shock.

Equipment Used to Perform Job

Must provide own hand tools. Standard shop or repair tools including hammer drill, grinders, welder, drills, skill saw, and chop saw. Frequently operates tractor, stacker, and pallet jack.
