Barry McTiernan & Moore LLC in Manhattan, New York, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Litigation group. The firm focuses on general liability, property claims, premise liability defense, and toxic torts, with a KPI-driven approach.

Must be admitted to NY practice (NJ a plus) and have 1–4 years (or 3–5 for the full salary range) of insurance defense experience. Base pay range is $130,000–$180,000 per year with annual bonus.

Formación

• Admitted to practice law in New York; New Jersey admission is a plus.
• 1–4 years of experience (3–5 years for the full salary range) in an insurance defense firm, focusing on premise liability and property claims.
• Experience in all phases of pre-trial litigation, strong writing and analytical skills; proficient in legal research platforms (Westlaw and/or Lexis).

Responsabilidades

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation.
• Meticulously comply with firm and client billing and reporting guidelines.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct complex legal research and discovery.
• Draft discovery demands and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
