Must be admitted to NY practice (NJ a plus) and have 1–4 years (or 3–5 for the full salary range) of insurance defense experience. Base pay range is $130,000–$180,000 per year with annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York; New Jersey admission is a plus.
• 1–4 years of experience (3–5 years for the full salary range) in an insurance defense firm, focusing on premise liability and property claims.
• Experience in all phases of pre-trial litigation, strong writing and analytical skills; proficient in legal research platforms (Westlaw and/or Lexis).

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation.
• Meticulously comply with firm and client billing and reporting guidelines.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct complex legal research and discovery.
• Draft discovery demands and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
