Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a paralegal assistant to work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant. This on-site role offers competitive pay and a generous bonus plan.

The successful candidate will handle tasks spanning pleadings, e-filing, client communications, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation within a busy litigation practice. Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years of litigation experience, and preference for a nationally accredited

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of litigation experience required.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.
• Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or related practice preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient calendaring for depositions, mediations, hearings.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons; coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits; organize exhibits and documents.
• Assist with case settlements and other tasks as requested by the attorney.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes; manage case files and logistics.
