Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in an on-site capacity. You will work closely with attorneys, providing support before, during and after trials to help move cases forward efficiently.

The role requires 2+ years of litigation experience and an associate degree or equivalent. You’ll handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, and client communications while maintaining meticulous case files.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits.
• Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court.
• Perform administrative duties (calendaring hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics).
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Aid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
• Witness preparation.
• Assisting with case settlements.
