Zurich North America is hiring a Team Manager – General Liability!

We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Addison TX; Schaumburg IL; Atlanta, GA; Maitland, FL; Omaha, NE; or Overland Park KS.

Role Overview: With moderate oversight, lead and direct a team of technical Claims Professionals in Commercial General Liability claims. Coordinate team activities and oversee performance, development, and coaching to maximize contributions and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities include:

1. Drive superior claims results in Commercial General Liability claims of moderate complexity by providing direction, technical guidance, and tracking and reporting on key metrics.
2. Achieve customer satisfaction targets by building relationships, analyzing and resolving quality and service issues.
3. Review claims files, identify trends, and recommend improvements to ensure best practices.
4. Manage expenses by monitoring resource allocation and expenditures.
5. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
6. Collaborate with business units to provide claims insights for product development and client engagement.
7. Lead and motivate a high-performance team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
8. Manage performance through clear communication, feedback, and development initiatives.
9. Maintain transparent communication within the team and uphold Zurich’s mission, vision, and values.
10. Protect confidentiality of claims information and maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education.
11. Participate in projects and contribute to team efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor with 5+ years in Claims OR Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years OR High School Diploma with 8+ years in Claims, plus customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of insurance legal statutes, procedures, and industry environment.
• Willingness to travel 0-20%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years managing commercial general liability claims and litigation management.
• Extensive experience working at an insurance carrier, handling claims, negotiating, and leading teams.
• Strong analytical and claims handling skills.

Compensation and Benefits: The proposed salary range is $96,300 – $130,000, with a 15% short-term incentive bonus. Details about total rewards and benefits are available through our website.
