Zurich North America is hiring a Team Manager – General Liability to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in the following locations: Addison, TX; Schaumburg, IL; Atlanta, GA; Maitland, FL; Omaha, NE; or Overland Park, KS.

Role Overview: Under moderate oversight, lead and direct a team of technical Claims Professionals in Commercial General Liability claims. Coordinate team activities, oversee performance, development, and coaching to maximize contributions and promote operational improvements.

Responsibilities include:

1. Drive superior claims results by providing technical guidance and tracking key metrics.
2. Build relationships with internal colleagues, external customers, and brokers to achieve customer satisfaction targets.
3. Review claims files, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
4. Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
5. Provide claims insights for product development and client meetings.
6. Lead and motivate a high-performance team, managing recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
7. Manage performance through clear communication, feedback, and employee development.
8. Maintain transparent communication within the team.
9. Foster a workplace culture aligned with Zurich’s mission and values.
10. Protect the company’s reputation by maintaining confidentiality.
11. Stay current with professional development through workshops and networking.
12. Participate in team projects and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor with 5+ years of Claims experience OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of Claims experience OR
• High School Diploma+8+ years of Claims experience, including customer service and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of insurance legal statutes, claims processes, and industry regulations.
• Travel availability up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years managing commercial general liability claims and litigation management.
• Experience working at an insurance carrier with claims operations expertise.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proven leadership in people management and performance development.

Additional Details:

• Salary Range: $96,300 – $130,000 (market-based, dependent on location and experience).
• Additional incentives include a 15% short-term incentive bonus.
• Remote hybrid work environment.
• Full-time employment with no sponsorship offered.
