Position Summary

The primary responsibilities include investigating General Liability claims to determine liability exposure. This role manages claims from start to finish, maintaining service level targets and achieving claims goals. It involves interacting with associates, attorneys, healthcare providers, vendors, and Brand partners.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 1 in-person day at one of our core locations and 4 remote days.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Claims Management
  • Manage caseload within established targets, including thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiations, and claim disposition, ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
  • Monitor and meet statutory deadlines and legal filings.
  • Analyze loss facts to develop strategies that optimize outcomes and mitigate costs.
  • Identify fraud indicators and pursue subrogation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Safety department to identify hazards and reduce risks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Impact Administration
  • Manage claims portfolio (up to $2 million) with authority to settle claims up to $25,000.
  • Communicate causes of incidents to relevant departments.
  • Serve as the primary contact for claim issues impacting customers, associates, vendors, and brands, providing timely updates and resolving issues.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Licensed adjuster (as per jurisdiction)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in handling General Liability claims
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations, statutes, and procedures related to general liability claims
  • Understanding of medical terminology involved in complex claims
  • Negotiation skills for resolving claims of varying exposure and complexity

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • Customer-focused with understanding of legal procedures and standards in liability claims
  • Problem-solving and solution implementation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills for decision-making
