Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. seeks a driven attorney to join our General Liability practice in Jacksonville.

The attorney will defend businesses and individuals in a broad range of tort matters, from premises liability to products liability, and will handle depositions, motions, hearings, mediations and trials. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Florida and possess strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Bar member is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior litigation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required
