Southwest Search LLC in Dallas seeks a General Liability Attorney to join our team of professionals in Downtown Dallas. Early in their career, the Associate will gain exposure to general liability, insurance defense, commercial litigation, and related areas, with opportunities to develop trial and deposition skills.

You will independently manage a civil defense caseload, work with Partners, handle court appearances and depositions, and keep clients informed with status reports.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Texas.
• At least 2 years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience in general liability, premises and product liability, transportation, property rights, and employment litigation.
• Strong written and oral communication, and legal research skills.
• Experience handling discovery and motions.
• Experience handling court appearances and depositions.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage a civil defense litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Represent clients in a broad range of civil defense matters.
• Collaborate with Partners on legal matters and strategies.
• Appear in court and conduct depositions as needed.
• Provide clients with regular status updates.

• 2+ years of defense litigation experience
• Experience handling general liability, premises & product liability, transportation, property rights, employment litigation and insurance defense
• Superior communication, writing, and research skills
• Experience handling discovery and motions
• Experience handling court appearances and depositions

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Represent clients in a wide range of civil defense litigation claims
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects
• Regularly handle court appearances and conduct depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
