Job summary

Jobot is partnering with a respected insurance defense and civil litigation firm to hire an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for its Boston, Worcester, or Hartford offices. This role offers exposure to complex matters across a broad practice area and meaningful courtroom experience with mentorship.

The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of litigation experience, is admitted in MA and/or CT, and brings strong academic credentials with a focus on civil litigation defense.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Experience in insurance defense, general liability, product liability, construction litigation, or related civil litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied litigation caseload including construction losses.
• Manage liquor liability, premises liability, trucking accidents, and product liability matters.
• Gain meaningful courtroom and deposition experience.
• Participate in trial preparation and assist with trial strategy.
• Take and defend depositions; work directly with experts.
• Attend site inspections; draft, argue, and respond to motions.
• Receive ongoing mentorship, skills training, and shadowing opportunities.

Our client, a well-established and highly respected insurance defense and civil litigation firm with a strong footprint throughout the Northeast, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–7 years of experience to join its team in Boston, Worcester, or Hartford. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to gain meaningful courtroom and deposition experience while handling a sophisticated and varied litigation caseload.

The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut, depending on office location, with strong academic credentials and a genuine interest in civil litigation defense.
