Job summary

RPM Performance Coatings, within the Carboline organization, seeks a General Ledger Lead to manage GL and the financial close. Reporting to the Controller, PCG North America, you will lead the accounting team, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements to improve reporting quality.

You will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support, partnering with FP&A and operations. Occasional travel is expected to support close cycles and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger and close.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Act as primary accounting lead for Carboline GL function within PCG North America.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor close calendars, controls, and reporting quality.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Drive process improvements and standardization across the GL function.
• Mentor and develop the GL accounting team.
• Support business partners with accounting insights and reporting.
