Job summary

UPS is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support general accounting and financial analysis functions. This role is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and reconciling financial records, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting transactions, and providing financial reporting and budgeting support.

Based in Louisville, KY with a Monday–Friday schedule, the position offers opportunities to grow within a Fortune Global 500 organization and contribute to variance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including: Balance sheets
• Knowledge of profit and loss statements
• Prepare, analyze, record, and report accounting transactions.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Support financial planning activities such as Variance Analysis
• Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and financial reports.
• Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business decision-making.
• Resolve routine accounting issues by applying established policies, procedures, and accounting principles.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and share financial information with team members as needed.
• Contribute to the quality and accuracy of team deliverables while continuing to develop accounting knowledge and expertise.
