Job summary

Pacific Staffing in Sacramento, CA is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to maintain the general ledger, perform month-end close, and ensure GAAP compliance. You will prepare financial statements, support accounts payable/receivable, and assist with audits and tax preparation in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite role requires a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of accounting experience.
• Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end close.
• Process invoices, manage vendor statements, and support accounts payable/receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, resolve discrepancies, and support audits and tax preparation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain accurate payroll data and coordinate system updates with IT and payroll vendors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle confidential financial and payroll information with discretion.
