Job summary

GHJ is seeking an Accounting Manager for Accounting Operations & GL Close. You will lead daily accounting operations, manage the close process, and ensure accurate financial reporting for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance concentration), or related.
Master's degree is a plus.
CPA license preferred.
8–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience with US GAAP and external financial reporting.
Experience leading accounting process improvements or finance transformation.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, client billing, cash application, and related workflows.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate financial reporting.
Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
Analyze financial results and provide budget-to-actual insights to Finance leadership.
Perform technical GAAP research and prepare memos for complex matters.
Ensure internal controls and policies are followed, strengthening the control environment.
Coach and develop a high-performing accounting team and promote growth.
Participate in finance transformation and automation initiatives.
