Job summary

RPM Consulting Inc is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Asheville, NC team and help maintain the integrity of our financial records. You will handle GL processes, journal entries, and close activities to ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel. You will collaborate across departments to support audits and deliver timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years general ledger or full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze account variances and investigate discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
