General Laborer/Warehouse - GROWMARK FS, LLC - Preston, MD

GROWMARK FS is headquartered in Milford, Delaware, with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. GROWMARK FS has about 500 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 13,000 customers. The cooperative operates in seed, agronomy, energy, crop protection, precision agriculture, and custom application. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

The purpose of this position is to assist with daily operational duties at the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain operations at the retail supply location, following the maintenance schedule of the facility and equipment.
• Manage inventory and distribution of products. Drive and deliver miscellaneous products as requested. Stock and move warehouse products and materials.
• Assist full-time and part-time operations personnel. Maintain the facility and equipment's appearance.
• Support achieving goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Coordinate with the location manager on safety and compliance issues.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety policies, OSHA, and DOT procedures as applicable.
• Drive and run local errands as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 or more years of retail-related experience demonstrating knowledge of inventory management and mechanics.
• Demonstrate essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Frequently lift 51-70 lbs.
• Work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) frequently.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with proper safety measures.
• Willingness to work hours outside normal schedules to meet seasonal demands.
• Participate in required training related to company policies and job requirements.
