Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo is looking for a General Laborer to work in our Welding department for 1st shift, the hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities include inspecting units, labeling packaged items, boxing and banding, preparing form holders, and participating in Lean activities. Must have a high school diploma and 1 year in manufacturing with packaging experience. Lean concepts and hand tools experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience with packaging exposure.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Understanding of Lean concepts and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Capable of repetitive hand movements and self-motivation.

• Complete Boxing and banding activities.
• Prepare form holders.
• Participate in Lean activities
• Other duties as assigned to ensure the department doesn't develop a bottle neck.
• Perform work in a manner that complies with the company safety policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous packaging experience to prepare product for shipping,
• Mechanical experience or aptitude.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Understanding of Lean Concepts
• Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform most work while standing at floor level.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands.
• Self-motivated.
