Job summary

Southern Cross, LLC is seeking a Meter Technician to inspect, paint, and maintain natural gas meter sets. The role involves route work, outdoor conditions, and daily use of hand and power tools. Ongoing training and potential travel for overnight work are provided.

Qualifications

• Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform field work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Paint and maintain natural gas meter sets on assigned routes.
• Inspect meters and related components and report abnormalities.
• Load/unload materials, operate hand and power tools safely.
• Follow safety procedures and travel to various job sites.
• Assist with maintenance of utility infrastructure including pipelines and meters.
