Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure is seeking a Laborer for its California facility to support general labor tasks within a heavy manufacturing environment. The role involves housekeeping, prepping pipes, coating and lining tasks, painting, grinding and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting pipes, labeling workpieces, loading/unloading materials, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and ISO guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED + 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to work Saturdays and overtime as needed.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Forklift certification if required.
• Ability to identify and solve problems and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks including housekeeping, prep, coating and lining, painting, grinding and prep work.
• Inspect and clean pipes before processing.
• Shovel, clean up and remove damaged lining.
• Mix cement and prepare materials for patchwork.
• Identify and label pipes using spray paint or stamps.
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for loading.
