Job summary

Sterman Masser, Inc. is hiring a General Laborer 3 for the 1st shift at our Sacramento, PA plant. This full-time, safety-sensitive role involves basic packaging tasks, handling 5–10 lb bags, and moving pallets to meet production and customer needs.

You will follow production boards, assist with displays and other duties as assigned, and be prepared for extended shifts up to 12 hours with weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to grasp, lift and stack 50 lbs for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance and work long shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules and orders to determine products to pack.
• Pack 5-10 lb bags into shipping packages.
• Sort and palletize products weighing up to 50 lbs according to sequence.
• Secure or wrap pallets for shipping per customer specs.
• Move materials by hand or pallet jack between areas.
• Mark products with identifying information per specs.
• Maintain sewing machines by rethreading needles.
• Weigh and count packed products and share data with staff.
• Notify leads for supplies and maintenance as needed.
