J&J Snack Foods is seeking a General Laborer for packaging pretzels. You will weigh and package products, tie and slice pretzels by hand, and ensure the packaging meets customer quality standards to keep the line running smoothly.
Responsibilities include using a digital scale, reading labeling instructions, inspecting products for defects, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. The role is on-site in New Jersey with potential for routine shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY: Packaging pretzels into the proper bags or boxes, make sure the bag or box is coded correctly and ensure the packaged material is acceptable to our customers. Hand Tying and Hand Slicing product (pretzels) to meet customers’ expectations, quality expectations and effectively keep the line in motion to limit downtime.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
All employees in this area are responsible for doing each of these jobs and are rotated at a maximum weekly.
Employee is responsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaing) Good Manufacuring Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs.
COMPETENCIES:
To perform this job successfully, the General Laborer must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED preferred but no required
