Job summary

Waste Recovery Systems is seeking a full-time General Laborer to join our team. The role emphasizes daily learning, a proactive attitude, and a strong and safe work ethic. A chauffeur's license with a clean driving record is required, and emergency jobs after hours rotate among the team.

Qualifications

• Valid MI Chauffer's License and clean driving record (last 5 years).
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and work overtime.
• Prior experience in construction, environmental, and/or excavating preferred.
• Good written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper PPE is worn while performing work.
• Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare job sites as directed.
• Maintain comprehensive service documentation.
• Provide assistance to operators, team members, contractors and customers as needed.
• Clean and clear debris and hazards.
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.

A positive attitude and strong and safe work ethic are essential. A chauffeur's license and clean driving record is required for this position. Emergency jobs during non-regular work hours will be on a rotational basis. Full time benefit eligible.

Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

• Valid MI Chauffer’s License - Required
• Clean, insurable driving record for the last 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report)
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform occasionally in small and confined spaces
• Ability to work overtime
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Troubleshoot problems that arise
• Take part in on-call emergency rotation; required 1 week per month
• Prior experience in construction, environmental, and/or excavating preferred
• Ability to maintain service documentation daily
