Job summary

Gifford TV & Electronics is seeking a General Laborer to join our team. You will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks, including keeping the worksite clean, operating power tools, setting up temporary structures, and other duties as needed.

The ideal candidate is a hard worker capable of meeting the physical demands of the job. The role involves assisting onsite tradespeople like welders, painters, and carpenters, transporting materials, and maintaining a safe work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products.
• Provide assistance to onsite tradespeople such as welders, painters, and carpenters.
• Transport materials and equipment from one location to another.
• Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment.
• Set up cones and warning signs to increase visibility.
• Construct, transfer, and tear down temporary structures such as scaffolding.
• Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair.
