Qualifications

General Laborer - Construction Site - $19/hour (Austin, TX)

Our client, a leading commercial electrician, is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support a new construction project in Spicewood, Texas. The primary responsibility of this role is assisting with trenching and ditch digging for the installation of underground electrical conduit and utility lines. Workers will support electrical crews by preparing trench routes, moving materials, maintaining clean work areas, and performing other general construction labor duties as directed by the site supervisor.

Location: Spicewood, TX
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Project Duration: Approximately 2 months
Position Type: Temporary / Contract Assignment

This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors in the heat.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Dig trenches and ditches using hand tools and other approved methods.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Employees must report to work each day with the following PPE:

• Hard hat
• High-visibility safety vest
• Safety glasses with side shields
• Work boots (steel-toe preferred)
• Any additional PPE required by the job site or supervisor

Failure to wear required PPE may result in removal from the work site.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and work on uneven terrain throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, and changing weather conditions.
