Job Details

Job Summary

The primary focus of this position is to ensure that Zero Waste Recycling stores, moves, and handles hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and efficiently, while remaining compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities / Duties

1. Operate various hand tools for material sizing.
2. Perform strenuous manual labor tasks.
3. Maintain a clean and safe job site, securing tools and equipment daily.
4. Identify, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials.
5. Follow safety procedures, including wearing protective gear and lawful disposal of materials.
6. Sort materials such as metals, glass, wood, paper, or plastics for recycling.
7. Sort metals to separate high-grade metals like copper, brass, and aluminum.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
2. Model company policies and procedures.
3. Establish effective relationships with colleagues and management.
4. Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures for recycling programs.
