Job description

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect equipment and/or truck and trailer for safe operation.
• Operate vehicles, track mobile, screen plants, unload conveyors, radial stacker, skid steer & stationary equipment.
• Aid in all site clean-up and site maintenance.
• Maintain all required logs and equipment inspection records.
• Follow all safety rules on site, including M-Bar-D & American Crystal Sugar safety protocols.
• Keep coal, limestone, and coke free of contaminants for delivery to storage or stockpile at the customer site.
• Monitor for moving equipment and hazards, prioritizing safety at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Audio & visual acuity.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to climb in and out of various equipment.
• Heavy lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and climb as needed.
• Wear protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, and safety glasses.

Environmental Conditions

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Exposure to coal dust, silica dust, and gasoline vapors during operations.
• Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in high dust environments with PPE.
