General Laborer - (East Grand Forks, MN)

Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Essential Functions

1. Visually inspect equipment and/or truck and trailer for safe operation.
2. Operate vehicles, track mobile, screen plants, unload conveyors, radial stacker, skid steer & stationary equipment.
3. Aid in all site clean-up and site maintenance.
4. Maintain all required logs and equipment inspection records.
5. Follow all safety rules on site and at factories.
6. Keep coal, limestone, and coke free of contaminants for delivery.
7. Watch for moving equipment and hazards to ensure safety.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

1. Audio & visual acuity.
2. Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
3. Ability to climb in and out of equipment.
4. Heavy lifting up to 25 pounds.
5. Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, climb as needed.
6. Wear protective gear such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety boots, and glasses.

Environmental Conditions

1. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
2. Exposure to coal dust and silica dust.
3. Exposure to gasoline and fuel vapors.
4. Math, reading, and writing skills required.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years old.
