Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based construction worker to support the building of a solar field. The role focuses on mechanical tasks and on-site installation activities in varying weather conditions.

You will perform line, laser, pile, tracker, and module-related installations with a team, ensuring quality control and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors.
  • Experience working on construction projects preferred.
  • This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
  • Cands must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
  • This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.

Responsibilities

  • String Line and Laser setup and monitoring.
  • Pile Shakeout and Installation tasks as part of site prep.
  • Tracker Shakeout, Slew Gear Installation, Torque Tube Installation.
  • Drive Line and Motor Installation; Huck & BOM, MIB, Damper work.
  • Module Staging and Module Installation; perform Tracker QA/QC and Module QA/QC.
  • Operate SPC Controller and ensure field quality standards.
