Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a General Laborer for a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Elgin, IL. You will support machine operations and help maintain a clean, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include assisting operators, maintaining cleanliness, and performing light janitorial tasks in a fast-paced setting. Safety gear is required, with 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities and overtime.

Qualifications

• 2 years of machine operating or fast-paced general labor experience.
• Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler, and use basic shop math.
• Capability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label.
• Must lift up to 60 lbs throughout the day.

• Clean the work area and move product to the baler, garbage, etc.
• Maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform minor janitorial tasks such as sweeping floors and taking out the garbage.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of machine operating or fast-paced general labor experience.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and use basic shop math.
• Capability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label.
• Work with a sense of urgency without compromising attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Drive for results and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with operating a forklift is a plus.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
