Job Description

Starting rate: $23.50/hr + $2.00/hr shift differential starting at 4pm

Location: Rock Island, IL

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color and consistency according to company standards.
2. Inspect blocks, remove defective pieces, and replace with quality ones, varying by line and product.
3. Package finished products securely, including adding materials, labels, and performing final QC.
4. Assist machine operators and support processes like pallet repair, general maintenance, and yard support.
5. Follow policies and procedures to meet QA standards.
6. Maintain a clean workstation and assist with plant cleanup.
7. Wear PPE and follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
8. Adhere to Techo-Bloc's vision, mission, and values.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand instructions and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills on the shop floor.
• Ability to operate machinery (not as a machine operator).
• Basic math skills and reasoning ability.
• Problem-solving skills, punctuality, teamwork, and multitasking ability.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of manufacturing experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

Must frequently lift and move items up to 75 pounds, with occasional lifts up to 80 pounds. Ability to inspect materials, identify color variances, and work in various physical positions throughout the workday.
