Job Description

Clean Earth is permitted to receive and process petroleum and non-petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil, sediment, and media.

Duties will include handling the processing, treatment, and beneficial reuse of soils and media.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect outbound trucks prior to departure
2. Process materials in compliance with applicable safety or environmental regulations
3. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting machines, other processing equipment or doing other preventive maintenance actions
4. Remove clogs, defects, or impurities from machines
5. Learn and follow safety regulations
6. Notify supervisors of problems encountered with material or equipment
7. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
8. Apply and remove the area specific locks and tags as identified on the equipment specific lock out procedure
9. Direct traffic movement or warn of hazards, using signs, flags, lanterns, and hand signals
10. Complete general site housekeeping, including snow removal
11. Other duties as assigned

This position requires the ability to work in outdoor conditions during all seasons and in various types of weather.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years construction related experience is required; experience in operating small and heavy equipment preferred
2. Working Outdoors: Exposed to very hot or cold temperatures
3. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
4. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
5. The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time
6. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach
7. Good communication and leadership skills.
8. Safety first mentality.
9. Positive attitude and maintain a production focused environment.
10. Good problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment.
2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
3. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
4. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
