State of the Art Healing is seeking a reliable, skilled, and versatile Facilities & General Maintenance Contractor to support the ongoing maintenance, repair, improvement, and construction needs of our behavioral health and recovery facilities.This contractor will be responsible for performing a wide range of skilled and general labor duties, including general construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical-related maintenance, facility repairs, installation, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who can work independently, prioritize multiple projects, maintain a safe work environment, and take pride in quality workmanship.Because our facilities serve individuals receiving behavioral health and recovery services, the contractor must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, dependability, and respect for the safety, privacy, and well-being of clients and staff.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Construction & Facility ImprovementsPerform general construction, remodeling, renovation, and repair projects.Assist with framing, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, cabinets, fixtures, and other building improvements.Perform demolition and removal of materials as needed for renovation projects.Install, repair, and maintain walls, ceilings, doors, hardware, fixtures, and other building components.Read and interpret basic plans, drawings, measurements, and project specifications.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.Assist with facility improvement projects from start to completion.HVACPerform routine HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.Identify potential HVAC issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement.Replace filters, belts, thermostats, and other components as appropriate.Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and cooling systems.Monitor facility temperature and HVAC performance to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment.Coordinate with specialized HVAC professionals when repairs require additional licensing or expertise.PlumbingPerform general plumbing maintenance and repairs.Troubleshoot and repair faucets, toilets, sinks, drains, valves, and other plumbing fixtures.Address minor leaks, clogs, and water-related maintenance issues.Assist with installation and replacement of plumbing fixtures and components.Identify larger plumbing concerns and communicate when licensed plumbing services are required.General Maintenance & LaborPerform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems.Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize urgent repairs.Perform general labor, moving, lifting, hauling, and material-handling duties.Assemble, install, repair, and maintain furniture, equipment, shelving, and fixtures.Perform painting, patching, caulking, pressure washing, and other general upkeep.Maintain exterior areas, including basic landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal maintenance as needed.Assist with moving equipment, supplies, furniture, and other materials throughout the facility.Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance throughout work areas.Safety & ComplianceFollow all applicable OSHA, building, safety, and environmental requirements.Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safe work practices.Follow State of the Art Healing policies and procedures while working on company property.Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct around clients, staff, and visitors.Protect confidential information and maintain client privacy at all times.Immediately report hazardous conditions, safety concerns, property damage, or other significant issues to appropriate leadership.Ensure completed work meets applicable safety and quality standards.QualificationsPrevious experience in general construction, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or a related trade.Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of skilled and general labor tasks.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.Ability to read measurements and follow basic plans or instructions.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between company facilities as needed.Ability to communicate professionally with employees, vendors, and leadership.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, recovery, or other commercial facilities.HVAC experience or certification.Plumbing experience.General contractor or applicable trade licensing, where required.Experience with commercial building maintenance.Experience managing or coordinating small construction projects.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required.Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.Ability to
