Ampla Health is seeking a Maintenance Operations Lead to oversee facility upkeep across multiple clinic sites in California. Under the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will coordinate daily assignments, guide maintenance staff, and support safety and functionality.

The role requires at least five years in building or facilities maintenance, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to read blueprints and work orders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years in building/facilities maintenance or related field.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of building repairs, maintenance equipment, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to operate power tools, ladders, lifts, and landscape equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work orders; prioritize tasks; troubleshoot; and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in maintenance work order systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, drywall, roofing and other components.
  • Inspects facilities, responds to work orders and emergencies, and supports preventive maintenance and groundskeeping.
  • Assigns and prioritizes tasks, trains and guides staff, and maintains maintenance records.
  • Promotes safety compliance, identifies hazards, maintains tools and equipment, and monitors supplies.
  • Assists with projects, staffing, and emergencies, and recommends operational improvements.

MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS LEADGENERAL PURPOSE:Under the supervision of the Maintenance Operations Manager, the Maintenance Operations Lead performs facility maintenance while coordinating daily assignments, guiding maintenance staff, and supporting the safety and functionality of Ampla Health facilities.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Performs building repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, drywall, roofing, and other components.Inspects facilities, responds to work orders and emergencies, and supports preventive maintenance, renovations, and groundskeeping.Assigns and prioritizes tasks, trains and guides staff, monitors work quality, and coordinates work orders and maintenance records.Promotes safety compliance, identifies hazards, maintains tools and equipment, monitors supplies, and assists with projects, staffing, and emergencies.Recommends operational improvements and performs other duties as assigned.QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS:Maintains professionalism, positive relationships, honesty, integrity, and a willingness to learn while supporting Ampla Health’s mission.PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum five (5) years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction trades, or related experience.Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge of building repairs, maintenance equipment, and workplace safety.Ability to safely operate power and hand tools, ladders, lifts, and landscape equipment.Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work orders; prioritize tasks; troubleshoot; and meet deadlines.Proficient in maintenance work order systems and basic computer applications.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Neat and legible handwriting. Ability to interact courteously with patients and communicate effectively with the public.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Works indoors and outdoors across multiple clinic locations.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach; lift and carry up to 80 pounds; and access ladders, roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and elevated work areas.Must be able to operate vehicles, travel between clinics, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.Must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively in person, by radio, and telephone; read documents and computer screens; and possess high manual dexterity.PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:1) High school graduate or equivalent required.2) Minimum of five (5) years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction trades, or related field.3) Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.4) Knowledge of general building maintenance practices and repair procedures.5) Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts, landscape equipment, and maintenance equipment safely.6) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and work orders.7) Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.8) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.9) Proficient in using maintenance work order systems and basic computer applications.10) Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:1) Must have neat and legible handwriting2) Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly3) Ability to communicate well with the public
