Job summary

Clayton is hiring general labor positions at Fontana Wood Products, including banding, wrapping, grading and stacking lumber in one or more departments throughout the manufacturing facility.

This is the application to the general labor pool, not for a specific department. Duties include sorting, banding, quality checks, safety compliance, operating production equipment, and reporting progress to management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of lumber grading.
• Basic math as it relates to lumber.
• Basic understanding of technology for the operation of electronics for inventory.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and stacks lumber off of machine centers including grading, cleaning, wrapping, banding and tagging.
• BANDS, WRAPS, ensures final quality and prepares items for shipping.
• Inspects finished products for quality standards.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Operates production equipment as needed.
• Reports production progress to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
