Job summary

Greif is hiring for a 2nd Shift General Labor Production Support role in York. You will clean and lubricate equipment, assist with loading and unloading on machinery, and perform routine quality checks while following safety rules.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic measurement reading, and the ability to work across multiple plant tasks. OT may be available beyond 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Routinely clean and lubricate equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Operate machinery and load/unload materials as directed.
• Perform routine property care and non-technical tasks.
• Conduct routine quality checks on finished products and report issues.
• Follow safety regulations and work the 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift (overtime as needed).

035008 General Labor Production Support - 2nd Shift (Open)

Key Responsibilities

• Routinely clean and lubricate equipment, maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, ready or put away tools as assigned.
• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
• Performs routine property care activities.
• Performs any non-technical routine tasks at the plant.
• Routine quality checks on finished products.
• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work 2nd Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (OT if Required)

Education and Experience

Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to read a tape measurer.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Stooping, bending, and moving about the plant for up to 12 hours per day

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $19.60 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
