Job summary

Greif is hiring a 2nd shift Production Support associate in Chicopee, MA. You will operate routine production machinery, follow prints and specifications, and ensure parts meet quality and cosmetic standards.

Typically you have a high school diploma or equivalent with up to 2 years of relevant experience. The position offers $18.86 per hour with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate routine production machinery per prints and specifications.

• Maintain logs/records of units produced and report errors.
• Inspect equipment before use and perform basic adjustments; keep area clean and safe.
• Follow safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

2nd shift - Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Possible overtime)

Key Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $18.86 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
