Job summary

Screen Machine Industries is seeking a Parts Cleaner to support our manufacturing operations by cleaning, inspecting, and staging components to meet quality and production standards. This role is hands-on in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

You will use solvents, pressure washers, grinders, and manual tools to remove contaminants, prepare parts for assembly or shipment, maintain a 5S workspace, and document production accurately. We offer a day shift with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Clean manufactured parts using solvents, pressure washers, grinders, wire brush, and hammer and chisel methods.
• Remove dirt, grease, oils, rust inhibitors, metal chips, and other contaminants from parts and components.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness, damage, defects, or non-conformance to quality standards.
• Operate and maintain parts washing equipment according to established procedures.
• Prepare parts for assembly, coating, painting, packaging, or shipment.
• Follow work instructions, quality requirements, and production schedules.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clerk area following 5S principles.
• Assist production teams with material handling and general manufacturing support as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Job description

The Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, preparing, inspecting, and staging manufactured components and parts to ensure they meet quality and production standards. This position supports manufacturing operations by removing oil, grease, debris, metal shavings, and other contaminants from parts before, painting, packaging, or shipment.

• Clean manufactured parts using solvents, pressure washers, grinders, wire brush, and hammer and chisel methods.
• Remove dirt, grease, oils, rust inhibitors, metal chips, and other contaminants from parts and components.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness, damage, defects, or non-conformance to quality standards.
• Operate and maintain parts washing equipment according to established procedures.
• Prepare parts for assembly, coating, painting, packaging, or shipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, reach, and lift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and more with assistance.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, oils, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

*This position works primarily in a manufacturing or production environment with exposure to moving machinery, cleaning solutions, metal components, and varying temperatures. Compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements is mandatory.
