Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a part-time General Labor role in New York. This position supports production through hand-stacking, case packing, and packaging operations, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will set up coders, validate codes, and assist with changeovers, CIP/SIP, and cleanup. The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and promotes teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of work experience.
• Preferred: Experience in food manufacturing or warehousing.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong math and computer skills (SAP a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient production support (hand-stacking, case packing, housekeeping, product conveying, reclaim).
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes.
• Operate a lift truck safely to move materials.
• Complete production records accurately.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, CIP/SIP, clean-up, and setup.
• Perform environmental controls and product reclaim/rework.
• Package and stack products.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Follow safety, GMP, and food safety procedures.
• Cross-train with other departments.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments.
