Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a skilled production operator to stage, weigh and prepare products on a fast-paced dairy line. You will monitor pasteurization, perform analytical tests, and report deviations to supervision to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires following SOPs, allergen protocols, and operating equipment with attention to detail. Lift truck certification and SAP familiarity are valuable assets; strong math and English communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years in food manufacturing, dairy preferred.
  • Advanced quality/food safety training is a plus but not required.
  • Strong math skills and computer data entry proficiency.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus and lift truck certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stage, weigh and prepare products in accordance with SOPs.
  • Monitor pasteurization process and record data per regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all required analytical testing and report deviations.
  • Follow all allergen protocols and SOPs in detail.
  • Operate tanks, pumps and production equipment; maintain clean-up and CIP/SIP tasks.
  • Document records, data entry and apply environmental controls.

How you will make contributions that matter
  • In accordance with SOP's, stage, weigh and prepare products.
  • Actively monitor pasteurization process and record data, ensure accurate chart record controls in accordance with Company, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all required analytical testing. Report any product deviations to the department supervisor.
  • Follow all allergen protocols.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation.
  • Operate tanks, pumps and operations equipment.
  • Perform and document equipment clean-up, CIP/SIP operations, tanks, lines and equipment.
  • Perform routine equipment adjustments.
  • Safe operation of a lift truck.
  • Accurately and neatly complete records, system data entry and documentation.
  • Perform all department environmental controls.
  • Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines.
  • Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy.
  • Work together as a team.
  • Other duties as required by management.
You are best suited for the role if you
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, software and data entry, SAP a plus.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).
  • Strong technical and math skills.
  • Ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English.
  • Demonstrated work history.
  • Good attendance is a must.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. in a fast-paced environment.

Start Pay $19.21 - Additional Night Shift Differential $212 Hour Shifts
