Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is hiring for a General Labor position at our Friendship, NY facility. This part-time role is limited to 30 hours per week with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

You will support production through hand-stacking, packing, cleanup, and material movement, while adhering to SOPs, safety, and quality standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of experience), strong math and English communication skills, and a willingness to learn SAP processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of work experience.
• Preferred: experience in food manufacturing or warehousing.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong math and computer skills; SAP a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient production support (hand-stacking, case packing, housekeeping, product conveying, reclaim).
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely.
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes.
• Identify and report out-of-specification product conditions.
• Operate a lift truck safely to move materials.
• Complete production records accurately and neatly.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, CIP/SIP, clean-up, and setup.
• Perform environmental controls and product reclaim/rework.
• Package and stack products.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety procedures.
• Cross-train with other departments.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Uphold Saputo’s Code of Ethics and Company Values.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
