Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Operator for night shifts in Troy, NC. You will operate packaging equipment, set up binding and labeling processes, and ensure accurate production documentation in a fast-paced dairy production environment.

The role requires strong math and technical skills, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and a commitment to food safety and GMPs. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or dairy is a plus.
  • Lift truck certification or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment including case forming, packaging and palletizing.
  • Set up and operate fiber gluer and/or taping equipment as required.
  • Follow SOPs in detail and generate accurate production records.
  • Verify case quantities, product IDs and production dates; maintain proper labeling.

Ready to bring your best?**How you will make contributions that matter...**Position Responsibilities* Safe and efficient operation of production packaging equipment to include: Automated case forming, packaging and palletizing equipment.* Set-up, operate and replenish fiber gluer and/or taping equipment.* Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.* Generate pallet identification labels in accordance to the production run schedule. This includes the verification of case quantity, product, product ID and production dates.* Set-up case coding equipment and validate product case codes in accordance with code specifications.* Verify and record accurate product case quantities.* Identify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions.
