Job summary

Wisconsin Stamping is seeking a General Laborer for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm) to support multiple departments in our metal fabrication facility. This entry-level role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic as you assist with light assembly, packing, and shipping.

You will follow safety rules, help maintain a clean work area, and cross-train as needed. We offer benefits, a sign-on bonus, paid time off, and growth opportunities in a privately held metal fabrication company.

Qualifications

Job Description

1st shift: Monday through Friday 6am-2pm

Job Summary

This General Laborer is an entry level type position. Responsibilities for this position include manual labor in various departments depending on current shop load and demand.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform various general laborer job duties as needed, including light assembly, simple machine operation, packaging, shipping and receiving, etc.
• Willingness to cross train and perform other job tasks when necessary.
• Follow and maintain strict adherence to safety regulations/maintain safe work area.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Strong work ethic.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Able to work within a team environment and willing to follow direction.
• Must possess a positive, 'can do' attitude.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk or hear for 1 to 10 hours a day. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward. While performing this job the employee is required to lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a 55 90 degree Fahrenheit environment. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing vision protection, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
