Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is hiring an entry-level Team Member for the Bacon Slice department. You will assist in slicing operations, feed pork bellies into the slicer, and help package finished product, while also supporting sanitation across the plant.

The role requires lifting 10–70 lbs, rotating across departments, and complying with USDA and Tyson specifications. The job is on second shift and offers an Equal Opportunity employment environment with benefits.

To perform the daily tasks and responsibilities of a bacon slice entrylevelTeam Member to include various sanitation duties.

Job Description

Duties will include Bacon Slice department responsibilities and will oftenassistthe Sanitation department. Duties willinclude, butnot limited to feeding pork bellies into the slicer and stacking boxes on pallets, packaging sliced bacon into boxes or packages in a bulk or vacuum package.When assisting Sanitation - Keep all of the offices on the plant grounds cleaned and sanitized; wash hooks and combs and pallets for the processing department; keep the bacon slice lines cleaned by picking up trash and sweeping the floors; keep the freezer room organized and sanitized; clean the floors, pickup pieces off the floors, keepDerindsanitized; keep the trash/cardboard combos emptied out and supply production with empty combos; keep cotton gloves washed and supplied; clean restrooms; wash down machines and equipment as needed; hang plastic where needed. Product and tasks must meet all USDA,Tysonand customer regulations and specifications. Teammemberwill rotate jobs according to departmentschedule. Pork bellies weigh from 10 to 22 lbs. Finishedboxed product will weigh 10 to 35 lbs. Sanitation requires ability to liftupto70 lbs. Team Members may work in other departments as needed according to production requirements.
